Object description :

"Splendid Minerva Silver Sprinkling Spoon"
Silver sprinkling spoon, Louis XVI style, the handle and spatula chiselled with scraps of pearls, acanthus and an engraved SL medallion. The spoon pierced with a frieze of leaves and the skilfully chiseled SL monogram. An unusual piece with the initials of its owner replacing the usual decoration of leaves in the center of the spoon. A rare piece of work! Parisian work from the end of the 19th century. Master goldsmith's mark on one of the leaves, difficult to detect due to its location in the hollow of the spoon. Minerva hallmark 1st title on the internal border with a magnificent periwinkle on the exterior side (see photos). With the nice weather just around the corner, it can also be used as an ice cube scoop! In all elegance! Dimensions: Length: 21.2 cm Spoon diameter: 6.5 cm Weight: 87.3 g Very good condition. Micro-scratches from use. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate. Follow my gallery to be informed of new developments and to know the dates of the next Shows...Any questions? Do not hesitate to call me or send me a message. I will answer you with great pleasure.
