Robert SAVARY (1920-2000) The beach Oil on canvas, signed lower right 60x92cm contemporary frame 83x108cm Robert Savary is a French painter and engraver, born April 20, 1920 in Paris, and died in May 2000. Robert Savary is part of the New School of Paris. He was a student of Maurice Brianchon at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, and won the Casa de Velázquez prize in 1948. He won the Rome prize in painting in 1950. He was named painter of the Navy in 1987.
