Louis Majorelle Art Nouveau Showcase “hawthorn”
Superb display case in solid walnut and satin mahogany veneer, molded and carved decorated with foliage and stylized hawthorn flowers. It opens in the center with a glass door with a paneled lower part presenting marquetry decorated with carnations, laterally with two drawers and two niches with three overflowing shelves with scalloped cutouts. The front uprights are sculpted in spirals, the side shelves are rounded as well as the upper crosspiece, the base is angular, the interior is equipped with three glass shelves and storage in the lower part. Original gilded bronze handles and keys, beveled glass, inlaid stamp. Very good quality of cabinetmaking and superb patina!
