Magnificent earthenware shaker from Nevers late 18th, early 19th century. In the shape of a book, this shaker has a polychrome decoration representing a cherub following a bird against a background of a mountainous landscape on one side and two birds facing an empty cage on the other side. Binding ornaments on the edges. Beautiful collector's item in perfect condition.
