Sumptuous pair of polychrome and gold enameled porcelain plates. The center of each plate represents a magnificent decoration of different fruits entirely hand painted. The curved part connecting the basin to the wing is entirely decorated with a large frieze in gold inlay and polished with agate. The wing bears a magnificent decoration of foliage scrolls made in relief with gold paste on an oven blue background. The border of each plate is scalloped and decorated all around with a circular frieze in gold inlay. This remarkable work comes from the Paul Pastaud workshops, located at 14-16-18- rue de Noriac in Limoges. Each porcelain bears the workshop mark on its reverse and the signature of the decorator artist at the bottom of the decoration.
