"Double-sided Reliquary With 46 Relics – 17th Century"

It is rare to find this type of reliquary in good condition. 18 saints are found on the central medallion, 9 on the front and as many on the back. In the center is Saint Gratien Martyr, the phylacteries make it possible to identify the majority of the honored saints. Made of wood and finely chiseled, the crown which surrounds it receives 28 distinct relics, i.e. 14 on each side.
Central medallion and encolpions are covered with a thin layer of mica.
Very precise Italian work from the end of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century
Dimensions of approximately 10.5 cm by 9 cm.
