Travel Mail Case In Empire Green Morocco, With Inkwell And Key, Ca 1900 Tbe

A superb travel mail case in full long-grain Empire green morocco, late 19th or early 20th century.
It comes in the form of a satchel (307 x 235 mm) with carrying handle and brass key lock clasp.
It opens into 2 compartments: The first contains a 2-fold snap pocket, one of which contains a notebook covered in soft morocco with blank blotter-type sheets (some slightly stained with ink). The second contains a 4-fold mail organizer (answered, to be answered, miscellaneous), 2 small 2-fold compartments, a brass travel inkwell and the key (functional!).
In the fold of the flap: a pen holder and a mechanical pencil.
Some slight rubbing on the edges, otherwise exemplary in a remarkable state of conservation and complete with all its accessories.
