The Peters style was born in 1824 in Genoa; he was the first cabinetmaker to import and use steam-powered machines for production, something he boasted about in advertisements, a forerunner in this field as well, featured in various city newspapers. In addition to the Durazzo family, the Brignole-Sale and De Mari families also requested Peters' services. From 1828 he also began working for the House of Savoy first at the Royal Palace of Genoa and then from 1833 at the Royal Castle of Racconigi. He obtained the title of "his Majesty's cabinetmaker" in 1835, and the royal family used his services until 1848.
