Large Provençal Buffet, Louis XV Period Around 1750 - France
Very beautiful and rare Provençal sideboard called "four shutters" in cherry wood. This elegant light wood piece of furniture opens on the front with four molded and scrolled doors separated in the middle by two leather-covered zippers which allowed the cutlery to be presented before setting the table. The wrought iron fittings and keys are original. France Mid-18th Century.
