Old Pendant In Gold Diamonds And Black Enamel

Oval-shaped, pendant decorated on its top with rose-cut diamonds in a black enameled cross pattern. Chiselled decorations of plants and arabesques are enamelled black throughout the jewel. Two rose-cut diamonds are set on either side on openwork gold arabesques which border the pendant. A gold pompom made up of small chains ending in gold pearls and presenting a chiseled and enameled dome cap, is attached like a tassel to a ring decorated in applique with a motif representing a small black enameled and chiseled leaf. A double chain holds the whole thing to a bail.

Proportions: Height: approximately 8 cm, width: approximately 2.5 cm, thickness: approximately 11 mm.
Net weight: approximately 12g.
Antique jewelry - Work from the second half of the 19th century.
Our opinion: This old pendant was undoubtedly part of a much more complete transformation jewel. To be worn on an old chain from the same period or on a black silk cord to recall the enameling of this ancient jewel.
