Jeanne Favier (1863-1904)Painter, draftsman, pastellist, lithographer, Jeanne Favier has many talents.
She entered the National School of Decorative Arts then Ms. Thoret's school and obtained a teacher's diploma from the City of Paris then the State diploma for high schools and colleges.
She perfected her skills by following the courses of Gustave Surand, Paul Schmitt, Louis Béroud and Paul Renouard.
We know of her the portraits of the Cognacq-Jay couple: creator and patron of the famous Samaritaine, and of his wife, Marie-Louise Jaÿ, who accompanies him on the adventure.
It has "good style and excellent drawing" note the critics.
