Very beautiful head of Christ in polychrome wood, very probably from the second half of the 13th century or even the beginning of the 14th century. Powerful expression. A priori Germany but possibly Italy or France. Either a Christ of crucifixion (drawn features and drooping lips) or a Christ of resurrection with the head upright. It can also be a Chrst des Palmeaux or "Palmesel" in Germany. Remains of polychromy. On a plexiglass display whose lightness allows this rare piece to release all its strength.
