Historical article by Clemenceau giving a fine analysis of the complexity of the political issues between the different protagonists in the powder keg of the Balkans, following the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by a Serbian nationalist, on June 28, 1914, who triggered the Austro-Hungarian Empire's ultimatum to Serbia.
