Superb painting by the painter Juliette Victoria Blum, husband of the sculptor Charles Samuel. Born in Canada in 1877 and died in Brussels in 1931. Here oil of a naked cabaret dancer with her silk scarf and her bicep bracelet, very typical of the Roaring Twenties of Art Deco. Painting signed and dated 1926 or 1924? . In very good condition, under glass with a magnificent black lacquered frame and trompe l'oeil decoration of tortoise shells. Gorgeous ! Format of 81x67 cm with and 65x51 cm without.
