Bronze with brown patina representing Suzanne by Eugène Antoine AIZELIN. “Suzanne in the Bath” is a biblical episode telling the story of a young woman, Suzanne who, observed while she is taking a bath, refuses the dishonest offers of two old men. To take revenge, they accuse her of adultery and have her sentenced to death. But the prophet Daniel intervenes, proves his innocence and condemns the old men. The episode is found in chapter 13 of the book of Daniel.
