The body of the bottle is made of crystal decorated with a charming frieze of leaves.
The large setting is in solid silver guilloché and vermeil. A line of blue enamel highlights the opening.
The internal glass stopper is present. The bottle is quite wide, as is the opening. It corresponds perfectly to the pulp of the index finger, which allows, by turning it, to deposit a little perfume there.
The interior of the frame is vermeil.
It is hallmarked:
. 900 for silver title
. Diane's profile in a hexagon for 900/°° silver
. A crescent and a crown, German hallmark for silver. This is contradictory with the previous hallmark but Scheid pieces very often have this hallmark.
. GAS for Georg Adam Scheid
. Number 20.7.5 on the cover
On the outer edge of the lid is engraved: Franz Hiess & Sohne who were most likely the resellers of this bottle.
Charming bottle, very luxurious through the use of silver and enamel, in an unusual format.
