Very beautiful watercolor by the Pyrenean painter Jean HOURREGUE (1925-1983) In perfect condition, it represents the thermal baths of Cauterêts, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, and the landscapes which surround them. Very colorful, this watercolor is also very lively. SIGNATURE lower right The frame surrounding the work is lacquered black. Jean Hourrègue was born in Pontacq (64) in 1925. After studying art in Tarbes then in Bordeaux, he taught drawing in Saintes, before becoming one of the major Pyrenean watercolorists and landscapers, until his death in 1983 .
