The delicate fretels represent cyclamen flowers, and the hallmarks authenticate the work as a creation by Philippe Wolfers (1858-1929) for Wolfers Frères, circa 1900. A similar model, made up of three pieces, is currently on display at the Musée de art and history of Brussels at the fiftieth anniversary, exhibition of the Wolfers Frères store, testifying to the cultural and artistic impact of the Wolfers house on silverware, jewelry and lifestyle at the beginning of the 20th century.
