Beautiful equestrian statue of King Henry IV in armor and holding the Fleurs-de-Lys Scepter in his right hand. Statue based on the original erected on the Pont Neuf in Paris in 1818. The sculptor François Frédéric Lemot was inspired by the statue of John of Bologna commissioned by Marie de Medici in 1614 and destroyed during the Revolution of 1789; The Louvre Museum keeps some pieces. Good condition and beautiful brown patina. It is placed on a wooden base painted in faux porphyry and gold leaf.
