"Richard Aurili (1864-1943): The Kiss, Terracotta Sculpture Ag33"
Large terracotta statue by Richard Aurili/Aurilli (1864-1943): “Psyche revived by Love's kiss”, juvenile version. Dimensions: length 70 cm / height: 50 cm. Originally from Tuscany, Italy, Riccardo Aurili trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he was a friend of Raffaello Romanelli, who would become one of the greatest sculptors of his generation. In the 1880s, Aurili went to Brussels, where he worked for the brothers Auguste and François Carli. Then, he settled in Paris around ten years later, where he regularly participated in the various Salons of that time. We also note his presence at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. Around 1905, he returned to live in Florence, to work as a teacher at the city's Academy of Fine Arts, where he met his friend Raffaello Romanelli. Aurili's signature will therefore be preceded by "Prof." Excellent condition. Price nonnegotiable. Payment by check or bank transfer.
