Enamelled earthenware vase by Charles Catteau for Keramis Boch Frères in La Louvière (Belgium), Polychrome decoration of stylized floral motifs. Art Deco period.
Good condition (small restoration on the neck)

CATTEAU Charles (1880-1966)
Franco-Belgian ceramist, he joined the Boch-Keramis factory in 1906, where he became director of the decoration workshop. Influenced by the major trends of the time (African, Japanese, Cubism, etc.), he obtained international recognition at the Decorative Arts Exhibition of 1925. His earthenware and sandstone vases with stylized motifs of fauna and flora are very famous.
