Frontal Ornament "kapkap" Solomon Islands Oceania Art Premier

Frontal ornament (kapkap) mounted on a “tridacna gigas” clam disk,
delicately chiseled with concentric circles in tortoiseshell attached by 4 seeds in its center.
The necklace allows this ornament to be attached to the side of the forehead; it is made up of alternating pearls and small shells also serving as coins, ending with two small seeds.
The choice of colors and their organization respect well-defined criteria.
