Provenance: Gift from the artist to Ernest Weissmann, New York. This work was offered by Fernand Léger to the architect Ernest Weissmann. Residing in New York during World War II, the two men met during a series of conventions organized by the Congress of Modern Architecture (CIAM). The composition of this drawing is very close to two paintings from 1941.
