Embossed Cardboard Candy Box

Candy box in embossed cardboard, frame in gilded brass. Very colorful decoration on a white background of a bird of undefined species perched on an oak branch. Traces of wear on the gilding, the turquoise blue background is stained as well as the inside of the box (see photos). The material used was fragile and perishable, these pieces often suffered greatly from use and humidity. It is therefore a question of being indulgent in order to appreciate these delicate objects, relatively rare witnesses of their time. This copy bears a mark on the lid: ''Angrand'' (?). Period late 19th / early 20th.
