It is not the sardine that blocked the entrance to the port of Marseille but two pretty sea bream against the backdrop of a fishing net. A post-impressionist touch announcing the artist's expressionist work for this oil on canvas, large areas of color in tones of blue with infinite shades, grays and a few touches of pink. It dates from the 1930s and its Montparnasse frame with slight steps from the period highlights it perfectly. Former chassis from the Lefranc-Bourgeois house. Figured among the painters of the Provençal school, the artist is listed in the Alauzen Dictionary of Provençal painters and sculptors. It is also listed in Bénézit.
