Mache Apothecary Stopper 19th With Crocodile
19th century pharmacy cap machine. This device was used to compress the corks to make them elastic and thus close the glass bottles. This instrument was invented around 1830 and was used until the beginning of the 20th century. This one in the shape of a crocodile, it was generally fixed on the counter or on a board. It is made of cast iron and in good condition with its original patinas. Length 29.5 cm, height 8.5 cm, weight 2.124 kg.
