Georges Grellet (1869-1959) Elegant Young People Two Etchings Modern Art Déco Print Years 1920 Era Louis Icard

Two delightful original oval colored etchings forming a pendant, each representing an elegant young woman, one brunette, the other blonde, in her interior. One carries her little dog and looks at him with a certain delight; the other leaning against her dressing table finishes getting dolled up before going out with her friend. They are very nicely original framed and never removed from their frame. Signed in pencil at the bottom to the right and numbered 267 and 183 to the left, published by l'Estampe Moderne in 1927 and 1928 for the second. The copyright dated 1927 for one and 1928 for the other appears in the margin in the upper part and at the bottom the embossed EM stamp of Estampe Moderne (see photos). Dimensions: 48 cm x 39 cm and 54 cm x 43.5 cm with the frame The whole is in very good condition. Tiny marks of age. The artist, Georges Grellet, famous French painter, engraver and illustrator, belongs to this line of artists called "boudoir" by the Anglo-Saxons who are so fond of them, among those who worked in the 1920s, the best known among them. them being Louis Icard.
