Very Large Louis XV Style Wrought Iron Console 205cm

EXCLUSIVE!!! Very large console from the beginning of the 20th century. It consists of a magnificent 8-legged wrought iron structure on which rests a large slab of white marble. Each leg is decorated with painted copper acanthus leaves, which perfectly match the upper curve. They are connected together by cross braces. The structure is entirely decorated with scrolls and the legs have the curved shape characteristic of the Louis XV style. It is in very good general condition. The structure has undergone various repairs over the years, and it sports a magnificent black patina. The marble top is splendid. Some very light scratches, but no cracks or brittleness. The contrast between the light of the top and the dark of the base, accentuated by the very airy side, gives it absolute class. After spending more than a century in a beautiful Arcachon house, it will be perfect in a large entrance or a beautiful living room.
