17th Cty, Multiple Sundials, Stone Carved Presentation Signboard

17th century Curiosity, and scientific item: GNOMONY ,

Rectangular stone carved block with various types of sundials on 4 of its faces, and certainly using like a stone carver's presentation model / signboard intended to show the various possibilities solar clock.

The iron styles are missing but it appears that they were never have been in fact present (as evidenced by the absence of oxidation / rust in and around the holes provided for their position.

This type of multiple sundial (5 in all) remains an atypical collector's item and a relatively rare scientific instrument which shows the know-how of the stone worker.

Good condition. All the time guards and some of the numbers to serve as markers in the reading order are still present and legible.
