This kakemono is a painting on silk surrounded by silk and a wooden stick covered with bone. This painting represents two mythical characters Jo (the man with his characteristic rake) and Uba (the woman who holds a broom), they are a venerable couple of old men, famous for personifying a long life of marital bliss and happiness.
