Bolster cover in 19th century canvas from Fougerolles (Vosges Saonoises), hand-sewn, the top of the envelope is in red striped hemp and the bottom in bleached linen. This very rare fabric, in hemp with large red stripes (cotton or linen) was traditionally woven in families, therefore on small looms (approximately 90 cm).
The envelope can be used as is or taken apart to make a table mat, cushions or to cover seats.
Note some stains on the cotton back, visible in the last photo, the asking price takes this into account.
