18-carat Yellow Gold Honorary Medal
Square-shaped medal representing two men named: A.PORTOIS. and A.FIX their portrait is very finely chiseled. On the other side a staircase decor framed by a library corridor with a name certainly of firm or laboratory P.SACRESTE and two dates 1881 and 1891. We have not discovered the history of these two good men. Maybe, will you recognize them?
The set measures 3 centimeters by 3 centimeters of sides or 1,181 inches / 1.181 inches each side.
The original box is patinated but still in very good condition.
There are intertwined initials at an angle on the side of the portraits a large S and a large A at the opposite angle of the bail or hanging ring.
I love this medal which was certainly made to congratulate a life of work.
