Old Ghoum rug with repetitive decoration by Boteh over the entire field.
It is said that the original Persian droplet-shaped design - the boteh or buta - was a representation of a floral wreath combined with a cypress, a symbol of life and eternity.
The seed-like shape is also believed to represent fertility and has connections to Hinduism.
Size : 230x140 cm with fringes (about 5 cm per side)
Condition : Good, new fringes, added on each side
