Cartel In Green Horn Signed Chevallier
Small cartel in green horn decorated with chiseled gilded bronzes on the theme of acanthus leaves, scrolls and foliage. At the escapement, a gilded bronze urn in the shape of a stylized amphora. Sides with a window closed by openwork plates in gilded brass. Blackened oak case. Ringing wire movement, consisting of an enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, and bearing the signature "CHEVALLIER AUX TUILERIES". Signature found engraved on the back plate "Chevallier Horloger du Roy". Early Louis XV period - mid 18th century. Revised and guaranteed movement.
