Magnificent watercolor on paper, framed, large format (rare), representing an animated Provençal landscape by Jean Antoine Constantin, or Constantin of Aix.
Period: Late 18th or early 19th century
Condition: Good condition, the glass is dirty inside (to be cleaned) which affects the readability of the work a little.
Wear of use and accidents on the frame.

Biography:
Jean-Antoine Constantin, better known as Constantin d'Aix, born January 20, 1756 in Marseilles and died on January 9, 1844 in Aix-en-Provence,
He is a French painter, pupil of David de Marseille. Director of the Aix-en-Provence drawing school, he is considered one of the fathers of Provençal painting.
