Object description :

"Saint Cyrus And Saint Paschalis Baylon, Reliquary In Sterling Silver, Circa 1690-1720"
Very pretty reliquary from the Louis XIV period in solid silver containing thé relics of Saint Cyrus of Alexandria ( médical doctor and martyr around 300-302) and Saint Paschalis Baylon (Torrehermosa16 mai 1540 - Vila-real17 mai 1592) .. It is in very good condition and unscrews in two parts. On the back of the plate on which the relics are fixed is a red wax seal with the unidentified arms of an archbishop. His coat of arms is topped with the crown of a prince of the Holy Empire, which suggests that he is a prince-bishop. On the foot and on the frame of the relic are each time a punch of master goldsmith and a punch of city (a rampant lion brandishing a bow). The set weighs 160 grams.
