Exceptional double-sided desk in solid oak, dating from the Art Nouveau period, around 1900, school of Nancy. It has the particularity of having a double door on the side, as well as a large drawer. It is richly carved with plant decoration, on the facades and on the sides. On the front, this desk consists of 4 drawers on the left side, and a drawer in the center. On the other side, the right part is composed of a door opening onto a storage space, with a drawer above. There is also a drawer in the center. As mentioned above, one of the sides of the desk opens thanks to a double door, also sculpted, leaving a substantial storage space. There is a large drawer with two handles above this double door. This very original desk is therefore composed of 8 drawers, a door and a double door. The handles are in gilded bronze, with vegetal decoration, typical of the Art Nouveau line. The top is lined with black felt. Each lock has its key. This rare desk is in good condition, note some small natural wear of time, not detracting from its charm. Some very small wear on the felt. This desk can be disassembled into 3 parts, the top and the two boxes. Dimensions: 165cm wide, 101cm deep, 80cm high.
