Pair Of Sheraton English Chairs In Mahogany Early Twentieth flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Sheraton English Chairs In Mahogany Early Twentieth"
Pair of English chairs from the first half of the 20th century. These chairs, in solid mahogany, are inspired by the neoclassical style of the 18th century English cabinetmaker, Thomas Sheraton. There are tapered front legs and saber rear legs. The backrest is in three parts, with in the center, richly carved motifs, notably here, the three feathers, emblem of the Prince of Wales. The sculpture work of the backrest is truly remarkable. The wooden structure is in very good condition, with traces of life, some discreet repairs and a beautiful patina. Note, the wood has somewhat worked on the back of one of the chairs (visible in the photos). This is for aesthetics only and does not affect the strength of the chair in any way. The seat, which is removable, was completely redone about ten years ago, but we still changed the fabric for this one, displaying golden flowers on a blue background, for a touch at a time. British and modern. These large chairs (more than 1 meter high), would be perfect at the ends of a large table.
