Louis XV Style Mahogany Pedestal Table

Late 19th century Louis XV style pedestal table in solid mahogany. It rests on four slightly curved sheathed legs richly decorated with gilded bronzes, such as hooves and corner falls with foliage. The curvilinear mahogany belt is framed with slightly scalloped nets. It is embellished with chiseled and gilded bronzes in the shape of a spanner and acanthus leaves. A gilded brass ingot mold surrounds the scalloped top in brocatelle marble.
