"Genoese Console"
Console.
Gilded wood, yellow Sienna marble top and red alabaster "a pecorella" from Algeria.
Italy, Genoa, neoclassical period, late 18th, early 19th century.


In moulded, carved and gilded wood, this console is topped by a rectangular polychrome marble top. The belt is decorated with a pearl frieze. The two fluted columnar feet with scrolls are joined by an upright decorated with a woman's mask.
