A stunning quality 18th century, George III period mahogany bureau bookcase retaining the original patina. Well proportioned mahogany bookcase with molded cornice above a pair of astragal glazing doors enclosing three adjustable shelves. The flamed mahogany fall opens to reveal a well fitted interior with an arrangement of drawers and a shaped leather writing surface, above four more long graduated drawers raised on the original bracket feet. Original brass handles to the front and sides. Keys and working locks. Superb piece of Georgian furniture dating from 1780.
