The 2 volumes. Antoine Furetière, born in 1619 in Paris where he died in 1688, is a man of the church, poet, fabulist, novelist and French lexicographer. Above all, he is the author of a dictionary, the publication of which has confused him with all of his colleagues at the Académie Française. Le Roman bourgeois is his most famous novel.
