Stained Glass Windows Signed Vantillard
Stained glass windows signed J. Vantillard in the Japanese style painted with enamels and grisaille on smooth glass, a violet blue cathedral glass marks the frame. In the center of each panel, a medallion: one representing a rooster and the other a peacock doing the wheel. The background represents a lake landscape (reeds, prunus, water lily, wisteria, birds, butterflies, etc.)
Joseph Vantillard (1836-1909), Parisian master glassmaker who notably participated in the repair of the stained glass windows of the Notre Dame de la Cross of Ménilmontant after the Commune.
