Charles Edmond Hermet, better known as "Eliott" is a French draftsman, illustrator, painter and watercolourist. In love with England, he opted very early for an Anglo-Saxon pseudonym.

He is known for his many humorous stencils, of horsemen, hunters, monks and the like, in the Victorian style of the English illustrators he admired, such as Randolph Caldecott and Cecil Aldin.
