Rocaille Style Bookcase 1900
Magnificent walnut bookcase finely carved and molded. It opens with two doors with bevelled glass, stylized hinges in finely chiseled bronze. Sculpted decoration of crescents, leaf scrolls and flowers. Pediment with large openwork rock shell. Amounts with acanthus plumes, bust of toddlers, shells and lictor fasces. Low sleepers with rock shells. Escargot feet with falling acanthus, paneled and carved sides. Remarkable work of sculpture, similar to the works of Honoré Dufin. Around 1900.
