Large pot-bellied vase with ances by Jean GERBINO Height 21.5cm Diameter 21cm This vase with fine decorations in blue and green tones corresponds to the period when the artist worked with his son-in-law Joseph CAPRA in the years from 1943 to 1953.
The artist makes his pottery using the mosaic and niérage technique (a technique developed by Chinese potters between the 6th and 8th centuries). After firing and drying, the piece is covered with colorless enamel and then fired a second time.
