Large Cylinder Desk From The Louis XVI Period
Large Cylinder Desk from the Louis XVI period, in mahogany and mahogany veneer on an oak frame. It opens with three tiered drawers, a cylinder revealing compartments, three small drawers, a leather-covered sliding top, two side pulls and four front drawers, including the right one containing a secret. It rests on four deeply fluted feet adorned with rings and finished with gilt bronze clogs. The panels soberly underlined with moldings. Entries of cloverleaf locks.
