Portrait of François de Bourbon Prince of Conty, Prince of the Blood, Lord of Château-Regnault, born August 19, 1558 in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre and died August 3, 1614 in Paris. He is a French Blood Prince of the House of Condé, younger branch of the House of Bourbon and first cousin of Henri IV, King of France from 1589. Protestant, converted to Catholicism in 1572, he fought alongside his cousin, leader of the Protestant party, during the last war of religion (1584-1598). He died in 1614 in Paris without leaving a legitimate heir. Beautiful rear frame. Dimensions of the frame: 80 X 60 cm. Dimensions without frame: 60 X 49 cm.
