Renée Carpentier-Wintz (known as Renée Besson) is a French painter born in 1913. Artist Officer of Arts and Letters, and winner of several artistic prizes - including an honorable mention at the Salon de la Marine, she is especially famous for her seascapes and landscapes of Brittany. But she also represented many Breton women in markets, ports or the seaside, and these scenes are quite charming. She was the wife of the painter Raymond Wintz. She died in 2003.
