Pair Of Louis XIV Sconces In Gilt Bronze

Pair of Louis XIV style sconces with the effigy of Diana the Huntress, with 3 arms of light, in finely chiseled and gilded bronze. Wall lamp with large section flanked on either side by brackets called à l' espagnolette and adorned in the central part with a square medallion decorated with a wreath of laurel leaves surrounding a quiver and an arrow, resting on a large shell stylized on azure background. The top part is sumptuously decorated with the effigy of Diana the Huntress and crossed quivers. The sconces support large basins on which rest lighting binets richly decorated with console gadroons connected by olivettes, supporting bobeches surrounded by pearls. Gilding cleaned in excellent state of conservation Cups and binets drilled for the passage of wire. Quote on request for electrical assembly.
